Like the smoke we blow away
Like the smoke we sometimes stay and leave a stain
Like the smoke we fade away
Like the smoke we sometimes stay and leave a stain
You cannot get rid of me
You will smell me in your clothes and in your hair I'll stay
Even in the stillest air
A rush of me takes over and I can't be waved away
Away, away, away, away, away
Away, away, away, away
We move in circles, fast forward and play
Tape rewinding and ripping away
And I'm not scared to start over again
But we can't stay here and play in pretend
In your mind I'll always be
But in your heart, I cannot stay, I'll go away
My roots are in the ground again
My crawl has slowed and here I'll stay to grow some more
And when my grip has loosened up
The heaviness, it doesn't drag me like it did before
I'll stay away, away, away, away
I'll stay away, away, away
We move in circles, fast forward and play
Tape rewinding and ripping away
And I'm not scared to start over again
But we can't stay here and play in pretend

Dissipate is about the friendships we lose on the journey of life. Sometimes, those friendships are just gone with the wind as if they never even happened. Sometimes, we carry traces of those friendships forward with us through our lives.
While they no longer move through life with us, certain things may trigger a flood of memories of the good times (or even bad times) shared.
Reconnecting with those friends can feel like returning home while simultaneously experiencing an internal eruption of grief.
Grieving an existence that no longer exists, grieving a childhood that's so far behind, grieving a friendship that can never be the same.
It feels like passing your childhood home knowing you will never live there the same way again.
Over time, we move forward and it hurts less. Sometimes the love is still there. Sometimes the memories are still there.
Sometimes we find ourselves stuck in the same loop with different people, different friendships.
And if these friendships find their way back, I hope being open and honest about the root of the issues that caused the implosion in the first place could allow a new bloom.
But I haven't really found out, yet.
But tell us - what did the song mean to you?
I felt the lips of time as they pressed to me
I felt the breath of time carry the breeze
Time, help me understand
Time said, "You don't get to make the demands."
Time can't hide -
I see you in smile lines
In my parents' eyes, oh why, oh why
Oh why, time?
-
Think it's early but it's overdue and I
Always thought I'd get one more chance with you
In this moment is all we got
Don't know where I'll be when that last shoe drops
Think it's early but it's overdue
I always thought I'd get one more chance with you
In this moment is all we got
Don't know where I'll be...
-
I met time - He's a friend of mine
I knew time - I could read it just fine
But the arrow of time marches on
And the weeks go so fast, but the days are so long
and I can't remember yesterday at all
-
Think it's early but it's overdue and I
Always thought I'd get one more chance with you
In this moment is all we got
Don't know where I'll be when that last shoe drops
Think it's early but it's overdue
I always thought I'd get one more dance with you
In this moment is all we got
Just one step away from that rotting box
-
And when I see the time
Slipping through my hands
Like the sand that falls through my hands
Oh, and all my loved ones are slipping through my hands
And all I know is all right now is the only time we've got
The
Chance
Now's my only chance
All my loved ones slipping like a timer, sand goes through your hands
Like the sand
And I feel it, they slip through my hands
Don't know when the big wave will come
Don't know when it'll wash away my love
All I know is right here now
It's the only chance I have
It's the only chance somehow
Oh, oh - oh, where's the time go?
Oh, Oh - oh where?
-
Think it's early but it's overdue
I always thought I'd get one more chance with you
In this moment is all we got
Don't know where I'll be when that last shoe drops
Think it's early but it's overdue
I always thought I'd get one more chance with you
In this moment is all we got
Don't know where I'll be...

Time is about my Grandpa dying and the grief that followed.
The realization of the role that time plays in even the smallest occurrences. We only feel the movement of the breeze because the placement of the air has changed over a short amount of time.
Things change, happen, and move forward because time continues to move forward.
It's about knowing time keeps moving forward and there's nothing we can do to physically be in the past again.
Losing my Grandpa felt sudden. It was a surprise. I thought we had more time. I thought we had years left.
No one thought he was going to die so suddenly. It was a shock to everyone in his life.
The only thing I can be certain of is that I am alive right now.
I can estimate, but I can't even guarantee the next 5-minutes with full proof certainty.
If we fully absorb that we can only guarantee right now, would that change how we live our lives?
Grass flows like the sea
Wind surrounding me
Flowers take me by the hand
Only the trees understand
The dirt of past and future
Not a moment sooner
Fallen leaves diminish vision
But that's not my superstition
-
Surrounded by the whispering of leaves
Oh, I'm in disbelief
-
Grass and I, we intertwine
Passing through my spine
Loss of eyes, no loss to me
The other side, I can see
-
Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, OooooOO
Surrounded by the whispering of leaves
Oh, I, I'm in disbelief
Oooohhhh
Surrounded by the whispering of leaves
Oh, I, Oh, I'm in disbelief

Whispers is about feeling misunderstood and uncomfortable in the world; feeling so heavy and sad, you follow the grass, then the flowers, then the trees deep into the woods - the only place you feel welcome and understood.
Surrounded by the wisdom and love of the woods, you feel so at peace you lay on the ground and settle there forever; eventually decomposing and becoming one with the earth as your bones are engulfed by the tender hug of the plants growing around, in, and through you.
And it doesn't feel like losing.
It doesn't feel like having given anything up at all.
It feels like home.
It feels like peace.
It feels like serenity.
I see you walk
The headlights shine right through you
And there you are
And still, and still, I see you
I take a walk
The wind, it breathes right through me
On every rock
My feet are pierced so dully
-
I see you walk
The rain collects on your shoulders,
In your folded sleeves
The rain won't hit your face, I see
And still, I walk
The cars, they fly right past me
I'm catching up
My feet, they glide so lightly
-
I keep on walking
I can't feel the rocks beneath my feet
My gait is stretching
My pace picks up
And we're walking to the beat of the rain
I hear the thunder with no shame
Oh, I am preceded by the rain
Oh, five miles away
Oh, I won't drop my pace
Keep my face towards the sun
And they can't tell us when we're done
Oh, they won't tell us when we're done
I take my walk, turn it into a run
Oh, they won't tell us when we're done
And they can't tell us when we're done

I watch, you walk is about Nico The Fool inspiring me, Jasmine The Fool.
It's about seeing Nico stride through this life, despite the challenges that lie ahead and the challenges that have already been overcome.
No matter the storm, Nico keeps moving forward with an energy and optimism I could only ever hope to have an ounce of.
I don't know where I would be without Nico helping me continue to move forward. I am inspired by his grit and determination every day.
We've been playing in public as The Two Fools since April of 2025. I've wanted to give up a million times.
A million times, I've sat on our porch crying; feeling afraid, ashamed, embarrassed, feeling like I'm not good enough, like no one wants to hear me anyway.
Feeling like it's so much safer to just keep playing for our pets in our living room.
And Nico has picked me back up each and every time. Nico has held his head high every time. Nico has encouraged me and us and our expression every time.
So when you see us out in public, when you see us on the stage - Know that I am deeply afraid. Know I am only strong enough to be there because of the support of Nico.
Know that we are there because of the strength of Nico.
And if you see us facing each other while playing - please know it is the only possible way I can stand the discomfort of existing so vulnerably in public.
I can, thanks to Nico. <3
